I finished my DBA Pictish army today. Most of the miniatures are feudal castings. Unfortunately I didnt shot pics while it was sunny. I finished the army and pics by dawn so the pics are a bit poor.

english longbow men
The first elements of my forthcoming Teutonic Order for DBA. I should have taken some crossbowmen, but I think my english friends will do at least as good. I think the facturer is minifigs.
I promise to update more stuff tomorrow.

Made my own DBA Table
Yesterday I made my first DBA table: The premissions was to make a simple, open for all terrain, and fine looking as well as handy one.
Firstly I cut my plywood in the mid in two halfes each 60*60 cm or 24*24 inches. Next I cutted my grasmat to 63*63 and put the wood in the middle. Then I stapled the mat on the back and clued the edges so the edges can not shear.
I'm happy with it and only have to build some hills and woods.

I don't need it, but I want it !! Like at my last base the ground is swamp. Additionaly I did a generic dark age shield design to be able to use the element in all forthcoming Dark age armies. In my Roman army its named: ,,Numerus Nemetum''.

first Legion
This Legio is my first in 15mm. It represents the ,,LEGIO I GERMANICA''. The main difference between the Auxilia and the Legions in this time was the armament represented by the reinforced helm.

Next Cohort
Here she is the ,,COHOR III MATTIACORUM PEDITATA''. She is the last Cohort of the Mattiacii. Maybe I will paint another base in the same scheme to enable a battle unit(e.g. 4 stands) in the far future.

first Auxilia Cohorte finished
Here are photos of my frst finished Auxilia Cohort for DBA:
The ,,Cohors I Mattiacorum peditata''
Its the first one so the painting is quite experimental. The name is not historic but because I live next to Wiesbaden (Aquae Mattiacorum) its quite personal. If they slaughter the enemy I will give my cohorts invidual titles like ,,pia fideles'' just like an emperor :-) .

Last Sunday I bought a Roman army in 15mm. Its a Middle Imperial one and I will base them for DBA. The army should be historical correct around 200 BC errr... I mean AD. The shield design is from Veni Vidi Vici.
Here is my first legionary:
